Bouncy Castle Hire Pricing & Safety
Everything you need to know before booking an inflatable — costs, insurance, setup and safety.

How much does it cost to hire a bouncy castle?
In the UK, a standard residential bouncy castle costs around £80–£150 per day. Larger themed castles, slide combos and assault courses are typically £150–£350. Pricing is driven by size, season, day of the week and travel distance.
Insurance & safety requirements
Any UK hire company should hold public liability insurance and inspect inflatables under PIPA or ADIPS. Anchoring with stakes (or sandbags on hard ground), constant adult supervision, and not using the unit in winds over 24mph are non-negotiable safety basics.
- Public liability insurance certificate available on request
- Annual PIPA / ADIPS inspection of every unit
- PAT-tested blowers and RCD protection
- Anchoring with metal stakes or sandbags
- Adult supervision required at all times
- No use in winds over 24mph (Beaufort 5)
Space & setup
Allow at least 1m of clearance around each side and 1.5m behind the inflatable for the blower. Surfaces should be flat and free of stones or sharp objects. We can set up on grass (preferred) or hard standing with weighted sandbags.
FAQ
How much does it cost to hire a bouncy castle?
Standard bouncy castle hire in the UK typically ranges from £80 to £150 for a full day. Larger inflatables, themed castles, assault courses and combo units sit between £150 and £350. Multi-day hires, weekend slots and bank holidays may attract a premium.
What's included in the price?
BDM Sports hire includes delivery within our local area, setup, safety briefing, anchoring/sandbags and pack-down. PAT-tested blowers and a clean, inspected inflatable are standard on every booking.
Are bouncy castles insured?
Yes. Reputable hire companies carry public liability insurance (commonly £2–£5 million). Always ask for a copy of the certificate. BDM Sports operates with full public liability cover on every inflatable.
How much space do I need?
Allow at least 1m clearance on every side of the inflatable plus 1.5m at the back for the blower. A standard 12ft x 12ft castle needs roughly a 15ft x 16ft flat area with overhead clearance for any towers.
Can I hire one for a school or event?
Absolutely. We work with schools, PTAs and community groups across the North West for fêtes, sports days and end-of-term events. RAMS documentation is provided on request.
